SL Destinations: The Soho NY & Hooktip Regions

Hello & Welcome!

If you are an Avid Explorer and Art Lover such as We, Then this post is perfect for you!
Today we highlight a destination full of exploratory options on the SL Continent of Heterocera Atoll.

One particular sim called Hooktip, is a bustling hub for travel and a great starting point for your excursions.

From this region you can travel via Jeep, Balloon, Train, Or Horse.
If that isn’t enough options for you, Join the Soho Land group & rez your own means of transportation.

BUT, Before heading out, We do recommend venturing into the bordering city of Bembecia.

Bembecia is The home to The Art Institute of Pittsburgh’s Student Gallery, & where you’ll find amazing artistic and cultural
attractions, All set in a replica of Soho NY’s historic iron front district.

Visit The numerous galleries and relax in the rooftop gardens or sushi bars.
So much to see & So much to do!, Be sure to share this experience with your favorites.

SL Destinations: Deadly in Wonderland

Welcome Friends

Always in search of interesting sims, We have come across a sim that is very cute for pic opportunities.

Almost Wonderland is a dark yet delightful sim, full of brightly colored plants, trees and props from the Wonderland story.

There is so much to take in here, and leaves you with the question, Where to start?

There are pathways that curve in all directions so that you can take in every bit of splendour.
Relax a while at the Mad Hatters Tea party or sit and smoke with The Caterpillar.

 

Take a trip around the sim in a steam punk style flying tea pot which will drop you off at a floating mansion.

Many of the props are for sale along with clothing to fit the theme, so follow the rabbit down the hole and enjoy wonderland.

SL Destinations: The 9 Art Planets

Welcome  All!,

Here’s a post for the explorers in Secondlife, Pointing you towards a place that is fun, bright and interactive.
The Artist in spotlight today is Betty Tureauds, And her Art Installation called, “The 9 Art Planets”.

This creation is multilayered in 9 levels, with orignal music by Ultraviolet Alter.
The only way to navigate this piece is to use the tp HUD provided when you land, & turn on the audio to enhance the experience.

The landing area starts off the fun. The sound of a Geiger is heard with a Mysterious Door in the background.

Go over to it and be surprised each time you attempt to open it, It can be Hilarious LOL.

All the levels have some type of interaction or made very stimulating to the eye.

The aim is to induce an emotional response based on colour, light, sound, music and interaction.

Hubby and I had a great time, Floating, dancing, setting off a GIANT Kaliedoscope, solving puzzles, and watching trippy videos here.

Explore alone or Grab a group, You are bound to enjoy yourself.

SL Destinations: The Arrival

Welcome Forward Good Souls!,
Today’s post is a destination sure to please at all times.
This sim in focus hosts various artists from time to time, so there is always something interesting there.
Our recent visit was especially nice because it showcased one of my favorite SL Artists.

The MIC- Imagin@rium sim strikes a balance between grand architecture and art.

It is an AMAZING place to take pictures or just enjoy the visual experience.
Set in glimmering shallow waters a large ruined Roman Amphitheatre with fallen pillars,

under ground caverns and light adorned trees make an ideal spot to wander around or just sit and collect your thoughts.

Stone steps and shallow sand dunes lead out to an Art Installation called “The Arrival ” by Artist Rose Borchovski.

A giant fish, with various statues and interactive podiums along its spine sits in stark contrast to the Amphitheatre.

Pure visual delight!
