SL Destinations: Seraph City

Welcome Explorers!,

Today we are time traveling again.,
Transporting to a metropolis akin of Chicago’s yesteryear called Seraph City.

Seraph city is a themed sim comprising of shops, cafes, libraries, theaters and anything else that make a city complete.

Feeling a bit out of style?, Well Sonatta Morales’ clothing store is located here if you need a classic look to fit into character.

The sim’s design is Primarily Art Deco, with bits of retro-futurism called Deiselpunk.

Deiselpunk is an alternate version of a future 1950’s from the developed technology and society of the 1930’s, Where the Great Depression never arrived and World War II is still being fought as a prolonged Cold War.

Explore the network of drainage tunnels and Hideouts that run under the city.
But Watch out for the gator!

You may Rez your own vehicle and drive along cobblestone streets lined with Brownstones and luxurious High-rises.

Prohibition is in effect here!, There are speakeasies & posh nightclubs throughout the city.

Join the City Police or become a Bootlegger.

Welcome All!
Revan here :), The Wife and I were feeling a bit Rockabilly Retro today, So I searched for a sim to fit our mood.
I came across a true Gem., The Arkansas State University had 2 sims that fit our theme perfectly.

What a VAST destination! We got more than we expected. There are actually 6 sims Total owned by ASU., 2 campus, including an
orientaion area with Art Gallery, 3 historic recreations by Painter Meriman and 1 set aside as a Leisure sim with Beach.

The Regions have MANY points of interest, Too numerous to cover all in one post,

But We will highlight the spots we found enjoyable.

Here you will find unusual Art Exhibits and Interactive galleries.
Be sure to Transport to each area in the Art Building via the large banner flags in front.
We had a great time on the turtle ride touring a giant Aquarium!

John L. Handcox (1904-1992); was a Great Depression-era tenant farmer and union advocate from Arkansas renowned for his
politically charged songs and poetry.

This place is AMAZING!, They have even replicated Ernest Hemingway’s Studio.

During the 1930s A barn was converted into a studio to give Hemingway privacy for writing.
Portions of one of his most famous novels, A Farewell to Arms, and several short stories were written in this studio.

Moving along, We came across Country Music Singer Johnny Cash’s boyhood home in Dyess Circle.

This is a recreation of The Cash family home in Dyess Arkansas as it was during the 1940s.

Check out the the rest of this town. There’s a Pop-shop, Cinema, & other colony display homes here, It’s like a step back
in time.

Something I found interesting was that The University actually owns Mr.Cash’s childhood home & The Dyess Circle Community;

 Exploring a bit more we come across a piece of Antique Southern Beauty.

This palatial estate is One of Arkansas’ premiere historic structures.
Lakeport is the only remaining Arkansas plantation home set on the Mississippi River.
It was built in 1859 for Lycurgus and Lydia Taylor Johnson, Who were part of a political dynasty that extended from
Virginia to Kentucky to Arkansas.

Jump on the Horse & Carriage awaiting you for a tour around the estate with cotton fields.

Opposite of The Lakeport Mansion are tour boats and rafts.
The Raft will take you to the tragic sunken town of Napoleon.

Just stand up when destination reaches its point and walk off the pier to find this RL Historic replica underwater.
There are plenty of signs around to tell you the story of what happened and when.

If You take the row Boat, You will then tour a serene swamp, great for photos.

There is also a wooden shack complete with rocking chairs on the porch to hang out.

I indulged in a delicious lil mesh number called “Garbo”, from Valentina E.

My favorite hat store in all of SL never guides me wrong. I showed  My Friend Chigadee London, who is The owner of Chapeau Couture, A picture of  this dress and she pointed out 2 hats.

The one I’m wearing spoke my language!, I LOVE this entire look.

I went down to Virtual Harlem where they have The Cotton Club and snapped some fun pics there and in front of the World Famous Apollo Theater.

IAOS Group Week4- Columbus Day

Around The World Blogger Challenge: “S”- Spain

Hola mi amigo hermoso!

Welcome to Spain!

Here is a country rich in History, Art, Cinema, & Architecture, Delicious seafood and Beautiful people. I put together 2 looks based on this country’s traditional clothes. I managed to showcase an affordable yet very feminine & classy look.

First, I found the cutest dress to represent the Sexy Latina side of this post.

I am wearing a Flamenco inspired dress made of see thru lace. Teasing with a peek of ample breast and a sizzling white thong. This dress comes with several layers.

You can leave it short for a cocktail look, or add the bottom ruffles to achieve the Flamenco gown shown here.

This sultry Dress comes with 2 Peinetas (I’m wearing both), Earrings, 3-Necklaces (I’m wearing all 3! lol-stretched at diff sizes), bracelets for both arms, Animated Fan, Carnation for mouth and a pair of white heels. Everything has resizer scripts in them, so this is large avy friendly:-)

I wore my own heels with a bow to add my girly-nessness to it. 🙂

The 2nd look I am wearing, I added lace sleeves. I finally got to use this hair I picked up a while ago from Vanity called ‘Ole.

The purse from Spiders had roses on it and was more of a wrist bag. These N-Core shoes are my favorite. I think they match the hair, kinda adds a vintage feel to the total look.

Hello There Friends!
Well my dears this post we are in the picturesque Rocky Mountains!

Brrr, Its mighty cold for a Florida gyal like me to be out here.

I was invited by a friend to spend some time with them at their cabin. Now If I can just make it up this Hill, I will be warm and comfy soon enuff!

Sigh..Yes MrBunny Ill be ok, just catching a breather. :-), On this sim they have bob sledding, skiing and a parachute ride., I thought about taking the parachute to get to the top faster..but after all that Thanksgiving feasting, uh-yeh…I better walk it out, lol

Finally! I’ve arrived at the top…0-Man!, Just smell the air! It smells crisp, Fresh and Sweet..UGH! Yuck Pooey!, Im used to a lil exhaust fumes and Salty Ocean air, LOL

Ahh, I collapse in this soft easy chair basking in the warmth and soothing sounds of the fireplace and radio…I’m such a house girl, I enjoy the pretty sights of the outdoors much better from in here. lol

A quick post about reaping the benefits of  joining special discount groups, Doing Hunts and grabbing freebies.

This outfit I have put together is comprised of the 3 mentioned, including the stairway prop.

The stairway was only $100L from the LaVenta eVenta group via Juxtapose. I just wanted to show that you can put together a outfit that is presentable at any function whether it be church, a meeting, shoppping with your favorite people or a date.

This look reminds me of  the Classy Vintage era. Go ahead put your own look together, step out with a calm confidence. Have fun with your style!
