Igbo: Enyim (Friend), Kedu Ka di? (How are you?)
Yoruba: Ore mi (My friend), Bawo ni n nkan? (How is everything?)

Today we are visiting the very beat of my heart- Nigeria.
This vast land of culture is full of beautiful people of many
Tribes.
The country has been in my RL for over 23yrs. I have passionately
nurtured this love between Nigeria and I with my soul.
Chioma: Igbo Origin; Meaning: Gift from God
There is a sim called Ijinle, a Yoruba town, That reminds me of
several different towns in Nigeria. Such as The bustling Benin
City, parts of Lagos with its narrow alley ways leading to shops,
and Asaba with its mix of rural on the outskirts of an thriving
urban city.

The sims description states: “This West African town, is divided
by time into sectors of 1796 and the present. Click on tiles and
objects for info, and talk to our citizens, electronic and real.
Visit the old and new palace, see the shrines, the mosque and
church, much more!”

When you arrive on the sim there is a greeter by the name of
Titilayo. Just type /4 and your statement/question and she will
chat with you. Fore warned, lol she can be cheeky!

Chatting with Titilayo
Titilayo: Ekaabo! Welcome everyone to Old Ijinle, part of the
Yoruba Light Project. I hope you find here what you are looking
for.
Chioma to Titilayo: Hello Titi, I will be visiting the Oba.
Titilayo to Chioma: Congratulations.
Chioma to Titilayo: Where is your Oba?
Titilayo to Chioma: Earth.

NOT getting far with her lol, So I venture on to the tailors.

Darnit, He is not in at the moment, So I procede to the King or
Oba as he is called here.

Amazing detail, looks exactly like a shop in Benin City!

Hello Your Highness *Curtsy*

Oba Adegoke: My dear subject Chioma Namiboo, Ekaabo to Ijinle
and my palace!

*Curtsy is a form of respect to elders and titled persons*
This Oba is cheeky as well…The last time I came with my SL
Husband he told him to divorce me so that he can marry me! LOL
I haven’t seen him in a while so I ask:

Chioma to Oba: do you remember me?
Oba to Chioma: Of course I remember you well . We were talking
about marry soon.

Chioma to Oba: how many wives do you have now?
Oba to Chioma: There are 201 at last count
Chioma to Oba: How old are you?
Oba to Chioma: I am 45 years old.
Chioma to Oba: you are too old to marry me
**Silence….***
Oba to Chioma: Thanks for your constructive criticism, .
LOL!

“Bless you Oba!” *Kachifo! (Igbo- *Goodnight)
Chioma to Oba: Goodbye
Oba to Chioma: Go and come back soon.

I love this sim!, There are more areas to see. Just spread out
and explore..theres a fish market/Dock, Free skewer food called
“Suya” in the barrel grills- QUITE delicious and one of my FAVORITEs while I was in
Nigeria.
I highly recommend you visit and take a look around. The sim
owner Tamsin Barzane is currently renovating parts of the build,
But there is still alot to see there.
There is also a Soul club there. I am not quite sure of when
venues are, but I am certain Tamsin would love to hear from you
when you ask. 🙂

Thanks (“Dalu”; Igbo) for tagging along, see you soon- (“Ma ri e
laipeh”; Yoruba)!
